Roslyn Fassett

The mystery of the dark and the illumination of light play off each other in the paintings of Roslyn Fassett.  Subjects vary from interpretations inspired from African textiles to watery  reflections of lakes and marshes.  A search for balance is sought between what is unknown and that which is revealed.  Ms. Fassett lives in upstate New York. She is an independent scholar of African art, has taught at SUNY Purchase and has traveled in Mali and Nigeria.
