Lynne Friedman

Nature is Friedman's muse. Her color infused landscapes interpret nature's reliability and unruliness by observing the indomitable cycles of the natural world. The world of natural phenomena has led her to work in New Mexico, Maine, France, Spain and the Hudson Valley to explore nature's diversity

A graduate of Queens College, Teachers College-Columbia University and the New York Studio School, Friedman's work was chosen for the US Dept of State - Art in Embassies Program. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in New York, a solo exhibit at the Booth Western Art Museum and seven artist residency grants including the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Ireland, the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in New Mexico and the Valparaiso Foundacion in Spain. Her work is represented in many corporate collections including Pfizer, McGraw Hill, IBM and City National Bank.
