Gerald Marcus has painted landscapes in the
United States, Europe and New Mexico. He works outdoors from

are then left as sketches, or worked up later into more finished
paintings. Larger canvases are done in the studio but retain the
quality of spontaneous outdoor paintings. Marcus is a printmaker as
well as a painter, working mainly with intaglio. He maintains a studio
in New York City and the Adirondack Mountains in northern New York
State.
