Flavia Bacarella

Through the medium of collage, Flavia Bacarella indulges in her love of texture, color, and form. By juxtaposing ideas—both literal and imaginary, she arrives at a series of intensely personal vignettes.

Bacarella recently ilustrated a book of essays titled It's a Long Road to a Tomato: Tales of an Organic Farmer Who Quit the Big City for the (Not So) Simple Life. The book was written by Keith Stewart, the artist's husband and chronicles life on their small organic farm in upstate New York. It includes 42+ illustrations and the book can be found wherever books are sold and at Amazon.com. It was published in New York by Marlowe & Company.
