David K. Gordon

David Kenneth Gordon born and raised in New York City, studied at the High School of Music and Art, followed by Cooper Union and Cranbrook Academy of Art, where he received his BFA. DKG then developed a highly successful graphic design company, specializing in all areas of direct response advertising. As a designer he was renowned for his ability to combine creativity and imagination. His success lay in an unstoppable energy and enthusiasm. DKG has exhibited at the Tatitscheff Gallery in New York. Three one-man shows of his pastels in September 2001, January 2003 and April 2004. A two man show at the Spencertown Accademy of Art. His work has been published in a feature article in Pastel Journal as well as the book, Pure Color. The New York Times, in a review of his work stated: "Mr. Gordon… gives things like paper bags, bisected muffins, rumpled dishtowels and culinary hardware — scattered or in altar like formation — a shimmering animation."
